Big Foot Sleepy Bunny free crochet pattern and tutorial

This is the english version of my BIG FOOT SLEEPY BUNNY!

 WHAT WILL WE NEED:

1. Yarn in three colours. I choose polyacryl yarn Montana (100g - 229 yards): cream for body, blue for pijamas and green for accessories.

2. Hook number 4
3. Safety eyes 10 mm 

ABBREVIATIONS:

ch- chain
mr - maic ring
sc - single crochet
2sc - make 2 single crochet in one chine
hdc - half double crochet
sc2tog - make 2 single crochet together
hdc2 tog - make 2 half double crochet together




OK, naw we can start!

With main colour (cream)
ROW1. mr with 6 sc

ROW2. 2 sc in each st around - 12 sts

ROW3. sc in next stich, 2sc in next stich (x6) - 18 sts

 ROW4 - 8. sc in each stich around - 18 sts

ROW9. 4 sc in next sts, sc2tog ( x3) - 15 sts
ROW10. sc in each stich around - 15 sts
ROW11. 5 sc in next sts, 2sc  - 18 sts
ROW12. sc in each stich around - 18 sts

Heel begins:
ROW13. 5 hdc in next sts, 1ch  - 5 sts, turn

 
ROW14. sc in 6 next stichs (5 from row13 and 1 from row12), 1 ch - 6 sts, turn

ROW15. sc in first st, 4 hdc, sc in last st, hdc2tog over side edge and next unworked st of 12 row, 1ch - 7sts, turn

ROW16. sc in each stich across, hdc2tog over side edge and next unworked st of 12 row, 1ch - 8 sts, turn
ROW17. sc in first st, 6 hdc, sc in last st, hdc2tog over side edge and next unworked st of 12 row, 1ch - 9sts, turn
ROW18. sc in each stich across,  hdc2tog over side edge and next unworked st of 12 row, 1ch - 10 sts, turn
ROW19. sc in first st, 8 hdc, sc in last st,  hdc2tog over side edge and next unworked st of 12 row, continue working across sts of row12, as follows: sc2tog, sc, sc2tog, sc2tog over last stich and side edge of beginning of row, do not turn - 15 sts

NOW IT LOOKS:

ROW20. sc in each stich around - 15 sts

It is time to stuff our feet.

ROW21-24. sc in each stich around - 15 sts


Now we change colour for blue (pijamass colour)

ROW 25-40. sc in each stich around - 15 sts

Remeber taht you have to make two:)


Don't cut the yarn of the second leg. 

ROW1. 5 sc in each stich from last st of the second leg, combine the midle st of both legs (1 sc),

13 sc in each stich, combine the midle st of both legs (1 sc), 8 sc in each stich - 28 sts 

ROW2.  5 sc in each stich, 2sc, 13 sc  in each stichh, 2sc, 8 sc  in each stich - 30 sts
R3. 4 sc, 2sc (x6) - 36 sts
R4. 5 sc, 2sc (x6) - 42 sts
R5. 6 sc, 2sc (x6) - 48 sts
R6 - 10. sc in each stich  - 48 sts
R11. 6 sc, sc2tog (x6) - 42 sts
R12 - 13. sc in each stich - 42 sts
R14. 5 sc, sc2tog (x6) - 36 sts
R15. sc in each stich - 36 sts
Start to stuff the body

R16. 4 sc, sc2tog  (x6) - 30 sts
R17. sc in each stich - 30 sts
R18. 3 sc, sc2tog   (x6) - 24 sts
R19. 2 sc,  sc2tog  (x6) - 18 sts
R20. sc in each stich - 18 sts
Stuff the body, leav a long tail for sewingand cut the yarn.

ARM

ROW1. mr with 6 sc
ROW2. 2 sc in each st around - 12 sts   
ROW3. sc in next stich, 2sc in next stich (x6) - 18 sts
ROW 4-5. sc in each stich - 18 sts
ROW6. 8 sc in each stich, 4hdc in one stich make together 

8 sc in each stich - 18 sts

ROW7. 4 sc, sc2 tog (x3) - 15 sts
ROW8-10. sc in each stich - 15 sts
Change the colour
ROW11-13. sc in each stich - 15 sts
ROW14. sc2tog, 13 sc - 14 sts
Start to stuff
ROW.15 sc in each stich - 14 sts 
ROW16.  sc2tog, 12 sc - 13 sts
ROW17. sc in each stich - 13 sts
ROW18.  sc2tog, 11 sc - 12 sts
ROW19. sc in each stich - 12 sts 
ROW20 .sc2tog, 10 sc - 11 sts 
ROW21. sc2tog, 9 sc - 10 sts 
ROW22. sc in each stich - 12 sts 
Staff the arm, leav long tail and cut the yarn

HEAD

ROW1. mr with 6 sc
ROW2. 2 sc in each st around - 12 sts   
ROW3. sc in next stich, 2sc in next stich (x6) - 18 sts
ROW4. 2 sc in next stich, 2sc in next stich (x6) - 24 sts
ROW5. 3 sc in next stich, 2sc in next stich (x6) - 30 sts
ROW6-9. sc in each stich - 30 sts
ROW10. 14 sc, 2sc (x2) - 32 sts
ROW11.  15 sc, 2sc (x2) - 34 sts
ROW12. 6 sc, 2sc, 9 sc, 2sc, 9 ps, 2sc, 6 sc, 2sc - 38sts
ROW13-18.  sc in each stich - 38 sts
ROW19. 17 sc, sc2tog (x2) - 36 sts
ROW20. 4 sc, sc2tog (x6) - 30sts
R21. 3 sc, sc2tog (x6) - 24 sts
Start stuff  the head at the end of this row. It's important to shape as you stuff

Atache safety eyes

ROW22.  2 sc, sc2tog (x6) - 18 sts
ROW23.1 sc, sc2tog (x6) - 12 sts
ROW24. sc2tog (x6) - 6 sts.
End with sls and cut the yarn.

EYELID  

ROW1. mr with 6 sc, do not close the ring, close with sls (make 2)

 
 Atache eyelids under the eyes

Using green yarn, whip stitch a nose.

EARS (make 2)


ROW1. mr with 6 sc
ROW2. 2 sc in each st around - 12 st
ROW3. sc in each stich - 12 sts
ROW4. sc in next stich, 2sc in next stich (x6) - 18 sts
ROW5. 5 sc in each stich, 2sc (x3) - 21 sts
R6 - 13. 1 sc in each stich - 21sts
ROW14.  5 sc , sc2tog (x3) - 18 sts
R15 - 16. 1 sc in each stich- 18sts
R17. 4 sc, sc2tog (x3)-  15sts
R 18 - 19.  1 sc in each stich - 15sts
R20. 3 sc, sc2tog (x3) - 12sts
R.21 - 25. 1 sc in each stich - 12sts
Live a long tail and cut the yarn, do not stuff

Sew ears to the head.

TAIL

ROW1. mr with 6 sc

ROW2. 2 sc in each st around - 12 st
ROW3-4. sc in each stich - 12 sts
ROW5. sc2tog (x6) - 6 sts

Stuff a little, leav a long tail and cut the yarn.

Sew the head, tail and hands to the body. I finished my bunny with strap on the back (I sew the tail to the strap), and with green cuffs on the legs and arms, but you can do as you want :)
